Abstract
A great and complex net of regulations extends over the pharmaceutical industry, in particular the biotechnology industry, that acts on all the stages of the development, production and marketing of drugs. One of them, and maybe the more comprehensive, constitutes the Good Manufacturing Practices. The correct selection of the internal quality system that should organize the biopharmaceutical industry in order to guarantee the implementation of the Good Manufacturing Practices and an adequate appreciation of their scope, constitutes a first order task. The present article undertakes this problem as for the relationships between the Good Manufacturing Practices and the ISO 9000 Series on Quality Management and Quality Assurance.
