en Short Communication- Antifungal potential of flower head extract of Spilanthes acmella check for this species in other resources Linn.
Sabitha A. Rani and Suryanarayana U. Murty

Abstract

Different concentrations of Spilanthes acmella check for this species in other resources flower head extract were evaluated for antifungal activity (0.1 to 2.0 mg). The diameter of inhibition zones ranged from 0.1 to 2.3 cm with the increase in concentration of test solution. In all the organisms, the maximum zone of inhibition was observed at 2000μg concentration. Among different fungal species, high inhibition zones were observed in Fusarum oxysporium check for this species in other resources (2.3 cm) and Fusarum moniliformis check for this species in other resources . (2.1 cm) followed by Aspergillus niger check for this species in other resources (2.0) and Aspergillus paraciticus check for this species in other resources (1.8 cm).
