Abstract

The methanol extracts obtained from endemic Origanum solymicum check for this species in other resources P. H. Davis and Origanum bilgeri check for this species in other resources P. H. Davis have been investigated for their antimicrobial activity. Antimicrobial activity was determined Escherichia coli check for this species in other resources ATCC 11230, Stapylococcus aureus check for this species in other resources ATCC 6538P, Klebsiella pneumoniae check for this species in other resources UC57, Pseudomonas aeruginosa check for this species in other resources ATCC 27853, Proteus vulgaris check for this species in other resources ATCC 8427, Bacillus cereus check for this species in other resources ATCC 7064, Mycobacterium smegmatis check for this species in other resources CCM 2067, Listeria monocytogenes check for this species in other resources ATCC 15313, Micrococcus luteus check for this species in other resources CCM 169, Candida albicans check for this species in other resources ATCC 10231, Rhodotorula rubra check for this species in other resources DSM 70403 and Kluyveromyces fragilis check for this species in other resources ATCC 8608 by disc diffusion method.
