Analysis process
Being compatible with the journal's editorial policy and in accordance with the Instructions to
Collaborators, all submitted papers will be analyzed by the editorial committee.
The selection of manuscripts for publication occurs in 2 phases: in the first, chief-editor and
scientific editor evaluate the scientific quality, the clarity of the text and the interest of
the subject for the target audience of RBPS. When approved, in the second phase the manuscript is
submitted for evaluation by two consultants belonging to the editorial committee of recognized
competence in the subject addressed. Throughout the trial process, of double-blind character,
confidentiality will be kept, being the authors and reviewers kept anonymous.
The final decision of manuscript acceptance or rejection will be up to the publishers.
The time limit for review by the Editorial Board will be up to 30 days from the manuscript receipt.
If opinions are conflicting, a third reviewer will give the final opinion. The final opinion of
the Editorial Board will be sent to the main author (accepted, accepted with modifications or refused).
The comments made by the reviewers will be forwarded to the authors for the changes in the text or
justifications for their conservation to be redirected to the journal within 20 days. Manuscripts
reformulated will enter the printed and electronic publishing sequence in accordance with the
chronological order of the approved documents.
In the electronic version, the manuscripts will also be published in English. These manuscripts’
version might be performed by the authors or upon payment to the journal within time limits set
by the editors.
