The Union for African Population Studies (UAPS) is a scientific, panafrican, non-profit organization. The UAPS was created at the initiative of the Economic Commision for Africa ECA at the end of the Third Joint Conference of African Planners, Statisticians and Demographers which took place in Addis Ababa in March 1984.
L'Union pour l'Etude de la Population Africaine est une Organisation scientifique, panafricaine, à but non lucratif. L'UEPA a été créée à l'initiative de la CEA à l'issue de la Troisième conférence commune des planificateurs, statisticiens et démographes africains qui a eu lieu à Addis Abéba en mars 1984.
